• prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis, unless it is inappropriate to presume the association will continue its objectives.The Council is responsible for
maintaining records which disclose STATEMENT OF COUNCIL’S RESPONSIBILITIESWorld Rugby is the world
governing and lawmaking body of rugby union. It is made up of 102 member unions and 18 associate member unions. World Rugby Council has a current representation of 25 voting members, a Vice-Chairman and an Independent Chairman. It is comprised of representatives of unions and associations appointed as set out in the World Rugby Bye-Laws and acts in accordance with the powers conferred upon it by the World Rugby Bye-Laws.The Council is required to prepare
financial statements for each financial year, which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of World Rugby and of its profit or loss and cash flow for that period. In Statement of Council’s responsibilities in respect of the financial statementswith reasonable accuracy the financial position of the association and its subsidiaries and to enable the Council to ensure that the financial statements have been properly
prepared. The Council is also
