Just under 1,000 coaches and teachers were trained from more than 250 schools, helping to ensure the legacy of Rio 2016 will continue long after the final whistle has sounded on the rugby sevens event at the Olympics in August.Impact Beyond programmes were also organised around the World Rugby U20 Championship and World Rugby U20 Trophy, in Italy and Portugal respectively, as well as at various stopovers on the World Rugby Women’s Sevens Series, the regional Olympic qualifiers and alongside Rugby Europe under-18 matches in France and Andorra.
